Unfortunately, we are unable to offer lopping and topping, except from hedging. Much like other reputable arborists, we do not use these techniques as they simply do not work. In fact, they increase the production of poorly attached endomorphic growths. It also makes the crown very dense while increasing its overall size. These practices harm the tree, either killing it or making it so unsafe that felling is required. However, there are exceptions to the rule. Conifers which are to be used as hedging are just one example. However, we are always happy to advise on alternative tree pruning methods.

Our Professional Process

Simply get in touch with our courteous team by phone or email to arrange for us to carry out an initial site visit at a convenient time. We’ll also complete a risk assessment and produce a method statement for an emergency.

Once all of the paperwork is in order, we are ready to get to work. We must first make sure that this step is completed properly, as if the correct paperwork is not in place, you may become liable for third party claims, action from the health and safety executive, and penalties from planning authorities with costly expenses.
